Rosie Godfrey

 
ROSIE GODFREY is the Author of Whoa! Joe.
With an extensive background in teaching and therapeutic work with children and families, Rosie, now lives and writes on a small-holding in North Devon.

Founder of PITTER PATTER PUBLISHING, she is also a member of VALA Publishing Co-operative.

Since moving to Devon in 1989, Rosie’s poetry has been published in anthologies, her plays and pantomimes performed by community theatre groups and her ‘Wordsmithery’ exhibited in art galleries in North Devon.

Rosie has represented Devon as ‘Municipal Liaison’ (co-ordinator) in the (inter)National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) from 2011-2013. As a member of Broomhill Writers and Poets, she participated in ‘The Cream of Devon Poets’ event at the Appledore Book Festival in 2011. And, since January 2013, Rosie has mentored the Parachute Poets and Writers group at Barnstaple Library, encouraging emerging writers to connect with their writer-self.

In 2014, Rosie also began to find her feet front of stage as compere and performance poet!

Whoa! Joe is her first children’s book to be published.
