Four Way Print

Choosing the right printers was crucial.  As with everyone involved, there were basically, just four criteria…

1. To have the necessary skills and passion to get the job done as needed.

2.  To care about the environment and for this to be evident in their practices.

3.  To be local or have a connection with the South West.

4. To be lovely people to work with!

Four Way Printers ticked all the boxes!

Based near Launceston, in Cornwall, they are dedicated to minimising their impact upon the environment by actively pursuing a responsible and environmentally sustainable approach….

They.use biodegradable, vegetable oil and water-based products in the printing process,

… maintain chain of custody standards under Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)

They also use low energy products for lighting, heating and office equipment and strive to be climate neutral by using a green energy supplier

They reduce, reuse and recyle… providing supplies of white paper offcuts to schools, nurseries and charities.

One of the many highlights of the production of Whoa! Joe was a visit to Four Way Printers on printing day – 30th June 2014.

Thanks also to the staff at FOLIO @ BRISTOL who, folded, bound, packed and dispatched. The thread-sewn binding was a specific choice made early on in the design of the book, so being able to have this manifested so beautifully was great!
